Bosses and monsters

  • Mythic beasts, world bosses (the waking giants) and dragon lair masters all fight at level 126, with lair masters about a quarter tougher than before (RS-340 to 342).
  • Dragons, hydras and those bosses are much bigger. Mythic beasts had been sized like a person because of their personal names (RS-340 to 342).

  • The Relic of Bone can’t be lost when its site moves (RS-337).
  • The quest bar has its own Quests, Journal and Tasks tabs (RS-330 to 332).

Dungeons

  • Light reaches half as far (RS-323).
  • The blade trap stays still until you step under it, and its curved edge leads the swing (RS-313, 314, 323, 329, 331).
  • Fewer candles in crypts, and no ceiling beams across corridors (RS-333, 335).
  • Clicks reach the highlighted tile through walls (RS-336, 338).
  • The minimap turns with the camera (RS-328).

Towns

  • The archery range is now a training range with damage-testing dummies (RS-333).
  • Watchmen carry real torches (RS-333).

  • The map can search towns, sites, forage spots, trees and rocks (RS-315, 324, 335).
  • Its toolbar and search box sit at the top, and the fps meter can be dragged (RS-334).
  • Zooming in is smooth again (RS-325).
  • Dense forests and walking on the open land no longer stutter (RS-333, 338).

Interface and items

  • Spellbooks can be switched any time, standard spells come with every book, and the god spells are labelled (RS-319, 321, 323, 339).
  • Quick-bar slots show tooltips, and the protection prayer icons are distinct (RS-321, 329).
  • Phone buttons for waiting and compact mode (RS-318, 320).
  • Arrows are listed by name, resources are sorted A to Z, and the carpentry bench uses logs you can actually work (RS-334, 337).
  • God staves, god capes and relics are Unique, and the loot filter never sells them (RS-342).
